چکیده

Finite control set model predictive (FCS–MPC) has been deployed extensively in electric motor drives and power electronics applications. Many advantages, including fast transient response, have reported. However, the improvement of its steady-state performance, that is, suppression current ripple, is one main problems a conventional FCS–MPC strategy. This article presents strategy based on using concept variable voltage smoothing. In proposed method, finite novel vectors, produced by smoothing process, are introduced as candidate input candidates, controller generates optimum output modulator integrated with scheme. Thus, candidates generated flexibly, suitable for acceptable performance determined input. addition, smoothness can be updated automatically depending drive situation, transient, or operation, thus avoiding degradation dynamic performance. Simulation experimental results obtained permanent magnet synchronous system demonstrate effective to achieve tracking while suppressing ripple.

Classical Model Predictive Control of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

A model predictive control (MPC) scheme for a permanentmagnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. The torque controller optimizes a quadratic cost consisting of control error and machine losses repeatedly, accounting the voltage and current limitations. The scheme extensively relies on optimization, to meet the runtime limitation, a suboptimal algorithm based on differential flatness, contin...

A Control Lyapunov Approach to Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

In this paper, we present a novel model predictive control (MPC) scheme that incorporates stability information derived from a control Lyapunov function (CLF) to dynamically prune suboptimal sequences from the search space and decrease the computational burden placed on the controller. The CLF used for pruning is then incorporated into a cost function that penalizes energy in the error system a...

Online multi-parameter estimation of interior permanent magnet motor drives with finite control set model predictive control

This study presents an online multiparameter estimation scheme for interior permanent magnet motor drives that exploits the switching ripple of finite control set (FCS) model predictive control (MPC). The combinations consist of two, three, and four parameters are analysed for observability at different operating states. Most of the combinations are rank deficient without persistent excitation ...

Mathematical Modelling and Predictive Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drives

Abstract—The paper deals with a mathematical modelling of the three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) and their model-based control. These motors are used in drives of robots and machine tools. The construction of their mathematical model is discussed here with respect to a model-based control design. The model is composed via mathematical-physical analysis. The analysis is outli...

Position Control Improvement of Permanent Magnet Motor Using Model Predictive Control

Fast and accurate transient response is the main requirement in electric machine position control. Conventional cascade control structure has sluggish response due to the limitation of inner control loop bandwidth. In this paper, in order to decrease the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) transient response time it can be used reference model using feed-forward signals. In this structure...
